DU admission process under 1st cutoff closes; 22,186 applications approved

  The Delhi University 's admissions under the first cutoff list closed on Wednesday with the varsity approving 37.14 per cent of over 59,000 applications, officials said. The first completely online admission process commenced on Monday and ended at 5 pm on Wednesday. According to data shared by the varsity, out of 59,730 applications, it has so far approved 22,186 applications, while 11,248 aspirants have paid the fees. Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) principal Simrit Kaur said the college has had 125 admissions under the BA (Honours) Economics and 121 under BCom (Honours). CBSE releases Class 10th, 12th board exam date sheets: All you need to know

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct Class 12 board exams from February 15 to April 3 and Class 10 board exams from February 21 to March 29. To give students sufficient time between consecutive papers, the CBSE has released the schedule seven weeks before the exam date. The Board said the exam schedule has been fixed in a way that it doesn't coincide with the dates of competitive exams. Last year, the Board had to reschedule the Class 12 physics paper because it clashed with the JEE Main exam date. "While preparing the date sheet, the admission schedule of Delhi University has also been considered," said Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations. Earlier, the Delhi High Court had asked the Delhi University to fix the cut-off dates for admission to under graduate courses only after CBSE results are declared including result for re-evaluation. Delhi University fourth list: Up to 2% drop in cut-off across streams

Admissions to various undergraduate courses started on May 15 and will end on June 7   Education News : Delhi University has announced its fourth cut-off list. Students from the science stream can still apply to colleges in the North Campus in courses such as B Sc (Hons) Botany,B Sc (Hons) Computer Science and B Sc (Hons) Physics as there are seats available under these courses. Humanities students can apply for BA (Hons) in Sociology, English and Economics as some seats in some colleges are still vacant. There has been a drop of 0.25 to two per cent in cut-offs for humanities courses across colleges. A drop of 0.25 to 0.5 per cent has been recorded in cut-offs in science courses. The varsity threw open its admission portal for aspirants of various undergraduate courses on May 15. The registration for these courses ended on June 7.
