Now, Android 9 Pie will be available in Motorola's 'One Power' smartphone

Lenovo-owned Chinese smartphone company Motorola on Friday announced that it has started rolling out the Android 9 Pie software over-the-air (OTA) update to its "One Power" smartphone, replacing Android Oreo. Android 9 Pie was officially released in August and was initially made available on Google Pixel and OnePlus 6 devices. Android 9 Pie update is bringing " Motorola One Power " users longer and improved battery life, an entirely new user interface (UI) with redesigned "Quick Settings" and a revamped split-screen option, the company said in a statement. The update comes with intuitive navigation, simplified volume controls, improved "Do Not Disturb" mode and an easier mechanism to manage notifications along with support for dual SIM dual VoLTE and better low-light imaging. Motorola One Power with notch screen, Android One to launch on September 24

Motorola, a Lenovo-owned smartphone brand, is gearing up to launch the Motorola One Power in India on September 24. First showcased at the IFA event in Berlin, the smartphone is a first Motorola device to have a notch-based screen. The phone also boasts a completely new design, which looks different from existing Moto-branded line-up. The new design is accentuated by a tall aspect ratio screen on the front. The screen features a notch on top, accommodating earpiece, front camera and sensors. On the back, there is a dual camera module that looks completely different from existing modules seen in Moto-branded smartphones. Apart from design and new camera module, the Motorola One Power also gets Android One moniker. The phone boots Android Oreo operating system out of the box, and comes with a promise to upgrade to Android Pie soon.
