iQOO Z3 5G review: Solid gaming smartphone in a tricky midrange segment

  Vivo’s spin-off brand iQOO continues to make strides in the gaming smartphone segment with the launch of the iQOO 3 5G. Priced Rs 19,990, the smartphone is packed with features and specifications not common in the midrange segment. For starters, it is the first smartphone in India powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G 5G mobile processor. OnePlus Gaming Triggers for Android, iOS smartphone now available in India

  Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus' gaming triggers for Android and iOS smartphones are now available in India for Rs 1,099. The company hasn't confirmed that these gaming triggers will be releasing globally, reports The Verge. These triggers can be clipped around the edge of most smartphones -- any Android or iOS device, so long as they're less than 11.5mm thick with a case on. If you want to do some mobile gaming but hate touch controls, these could provide a more intuitive, controller-like alternative to tapping on your screen, the report said. Each trigger appears to have just one shoulder button with an Omron switch that OnePlus CEO Pete Lau says is "pleasingly clicky" to tap. Priced at Rs 52,999, the new variant of the phone will go on sale along with 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants at Flipkart’s upcoming Big Billion Days sale, which is commencing from October 16. ASUS ROG Phone 3 to debut with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC on July 22

Taiwanese electronics maker ASUS is gearing up to launch the third iteration of its gaming-centric ROG-series smartphone in India on July 22. Named ROG Phone 3 , the smartphone will debut with the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ system-on-chip, which brings up to 10 per cent improvement in computing and graphics performance over the predecessor. “ASUS is excited to once again offer users the best possible mobile gaming experience with the next-generation ROG Phone 3, which will be powered by the new Snapdragon 865 Plus Mobile Platform,” said Bryan Chang, general manager of smartphone business unit, ASUS. ROG Phone II on Monday goes on sale at Flipkart, announced the Taiwanese electronics maker Asus. Launched at Rs 37,999 in 2019, the gaming smartphone gets a price hike of Rs 2,000 owing to increase in goods and services tax on smartphones and depreciating currency value. However, this revision in price is subsidised as Asus absorbs some portion of price hike due to depreciation currency and GST, which is touted to be more than Rs 2,500 on each unit.
