Skullcandy Indy Evo review: Basic TWS earphones with decent audio quality

Image
Skullcandy recently launched its true wireless earbuds Indy Evo. From impressive on-battery time to water resistance and in-built Tile tracker, the wireless earbuds cover wide spectrum of features on paper. Priced at Rs 9,999, the Skullcandy Indy Evo seems to be in close contest with Sony's recently launched WF-XB700 and TicPods 2 Pro. Are they as good? Let’s find out: Build and Design Skullcandy Indy Evo Despite some changes, the Indy Evo resembles its predecessor Indy in looks and design. Made of plastic, the earbuds have matte finish that looks attractive. The earbuds’ charging case is of decent size but the quality leaves you asking for more. Inside the package, the Indy Evo comes with silicone ear tips of different sizes and ear gels for in-ear fit. It is unlikely for the earbuds to fall off accidently, thanks to in-ear design. However, the fit is not comfortable and softer ear buds could have made the fit a lot more comfortable. Read More

Skullcandy Sesh earbuds review: A good product for people on the go

Image
When you are going for true-wireless earbuds , it's best to spend a little extra so that there is no disappointment with quality. What's frustrating for those who want truly wireless earbuds are that there are very few good mid-range options. Blaupunkt did bring some good products for audiophiles (review), but it the only one until Skullcandy decided to throw its hat in the ring with the Sesh Bluetooth earbuds. The Skullcandy Sesh earbuds fit well in your ears and, unlike most others, don't fall off easily, no matter how extensive your movement. This was our first observation when we wore the earbuds for a running session. The another thing that we noticed was the size: It's a bit bigger than most earbuds in the market at present, so some people might not find them ideal for use, especially those who like to lie on their beds and binge-watch. Another negative for the Skullcandy Sesh earbuds is its use of soft-touch buttons for playback and virtual assistant....

Skullcandy 's Crusher ANC has all these and a little more — its bass-specific tuning sets it apart from others in the high-end headphones space. When we say high-end, it means, among other things, a hefty price tag. Sure, at Rs 24,999, the Crusher ANC is no cheap top. Is that a deal to go for? Let's find out. The most common challenge that high-end headphones face is that there are just a few players and each, with its own appeal, is vying for the attention of a small set of discerning buyers. The Crusher ANC’s appeal lies in its noise cancellation and its unique and impressive sensory bass feature. Additionally, there is an in-built Tile Bluetooth tracker to help you locate the headphones using the Tile app on your smartphone. Design Skullcandy follows the conventional design for its over-the-ear headphones; they are collaps...
