Cyberpunk 2077 returns to PlayStation Store with warning for PS4 owners

Image
More than six months after it was removed, Cyberpunk 2077 has returned to Sony's PlayStation Store but with a big warning for PS4 owners. "Users may continue to experience some performance issues with the PS4 edition while we continue to improve stability across all platforms," CD Projekt Red was quoted as saying by The Verge. "The PS4 Pro and PS5 versions of the game will provide the best experience on PlayStation," it added. Sony's listing for Cyberpunk 2077 has a similar warning and it goes a step further to try and dissuade PS4 owners from purchasing the game. "Purchase for use on PS4 systems is not recommended," said Sony's listing. "For the best Cyberpunk experience on PlayStation, play on PS4 Pro and PS5 systems," it added. Cyberpunk 2077 originally debuted in December with severe technical problems on last-generation Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. Read More

Sony to enable external storage support for PS5 through software update

Image
Sony is reportedly rolling out the first major software update for PlayStation 5 console, which comes with several new features, including the much-requested USB storage support. According to GSMArena, the players will be able to transfer their games from the PS5 to a connected USB storage device with this feature. You won't be able to play the game from the drive but rather just use it for archival. "If you need the game in the future, it's much faster to just transfer it from the drive than download it all over again," the report said on Tuesday. This feature has been available on the PS4 consoles for a while now and they could even run the game directly off the external drive. Even the PS5 allowed transferring and playing PS4 titles from external drives. Read More

Spider-Man Miles Morales review: Worthy successor to a great game

Image
' Spider-Man: Miles Morales ' is a standalone sequel to Insomniac Games' highly successful 'Marvel's Spider-Man' -- the PlayStation-exclusive released in 2018 that is still regarded as one of the best superhero games ever made. The latest spinoff retains much of what was good from the original game, but it also brings some definitive changes that seem a natural extension of the titular character, who is just learning the ropes of being a web-slinging vigilante. Released alongside the PS5, it also leverages the features of the new high-powered console. STORYLINE Spider-Man: Miles Morales takes place in New York, nearly a year after the original PS4 game, in which time our protagonist has moved back to Harlem, with his mother Rio Morales. The original Spiderman, Peter Parker, and Miles are working alongside, but, shortly into the game, Parker goes on a vacation with MJ to Europe, leaving Miles as New York's sole Spider-Man. He is soon involved in a co...

Sony PlayStation 5 review: A gorgeous portal to the next-gen gaming

Image
The PlayStation 5 isn't simply the latest iteration of the Japanese company Sony's highly successful series of gaming consoles, but a genuine leap in terms of possibilities in gaming. There are several changes, inside and out, that set up PS5 for a markedly different gaming experience from its predecessors. Let's dive into the details. The PlayStation 5 comes in two variants: with Ultra-HD Blu-Ray Disc, and the Digital Edition -- which is also Rs 10,000 cheaper. Our review unit came with the disc drive. DualSense Wireless Controller The most highlighted (and rightly so!) aspect of the PS5 is the DualSense Wireless Controller. With its haptic feedback and trigger resistance, DualSense is more than just an accessory to the PS5, and in fact becomes an integral part of the immersive and realistic gaming experience that lets you 'feel' the game. You will experience lightning-fast loading with an ultra-high-speed SSD, deeper immersion with support for haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and 3D audio, along with an all-new generation of PlayStation games. The PlayStation 5 costs Rs 49,990 for the normal edition while the digital edition comes for Rs 39,990. The PS5 Digital Edition is effectively identical to the PS5, with all of the same processing power as the disc-drive-equipped version. Here is what we have to reveal about the elusive gaming console that takes Microsoft Xbox Series X and S head-on. The front of the system has USB-A, USB-C ports, LED lights, along with tiny power and eject buttons. The back holds two more USB-A ports, an HDMI output, an Ethernet port, and a power cable co...
