Remdesivir shortage: UP CM orders procurement of 25000 vials from Ahmedabad

  In view of the shortage of Remdesivir in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed the state health department to acquire 25,000 injections of Remdesivir from Gujarat's Ahmedabad on an urgent basis. According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), the officers of the Health Department left for Ahmedabad to get 25000 Remedisver injections at 10.40 am today. Remdesivir is considered a key anti-viral drug in the fight against COVID-19 . Earlier, the Centre on Sunday prohibited exports of injection Remdesivir and Remdesivir Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) till the COVID-19 situation in the country improves. Covid-19 lockdown: UP defers manufacturing reboot in industrial hubs

Uttar Pradesh won't allow industries in 19 districts to resume work after they reported 10 new coronavirus cases , a day after the centre said states could let some businesses get back to work. Notably, these 19 districts include nearly all the major industrial hubs of UP - Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Moradabad, Shamli, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Basti, Hapur, Bijnore, Sitapur, Rampur and Amroha. The resumption of the industrial activities in the remaining 56 districts would also be under the vigil for adhering to the social distancing and lockdown norms. Read More

Ayodhya case: Devotees must be patient, trust SC, says Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday urged public to hold patience on the ongoing Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir case and have trust on the Supreme Court. "The case is ongoing in the Supreme Court and the court is independent. All the devotees must be patient and must trust the court," he said. "Justice must be done in time and we must all believe in the Supreme Court's decision," Adityanath added. The Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was pulled down on December 6, 1992 allegedly by a group of Hindu activists, claiming that the mosque was constructed after demolishing a Ram Temple that originally stood there.
