Realme Narzo 10A goes on sale at 12 noon on Flipkart, Realme: Price, specs

Realme Narzo 10A smartphone is set to go on first sale in India on Friday. Launched earlier this month, alongside the Narzo 10, the budget smartphone will be available on Flipkart and Realme online stores. In retrospective, the Narzo 10A was put on sale through offline stores in select states. Now, it will be available both on online platforms (Flipkart and Realme) and offline retail stores in select states. The Realme Narzo 10A will be available in sole 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage variant, priced at Rs 8,499. The phone will be available in So Blue and So White colour options. The sale starts at 12 noon on May 22. On Flipkart, the phone will be eligible to get a five per cent cashback on purchase made through Axis Bank credit card, and SuperCash worth Rs 500 on Realme online store. Maruti Suzuki launches 'Buy-Now-Pay-Later Offer': All you need to know

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Friday announced a partnership with Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd to provide customised auto retail financing solutions to retail buyers. The new solution 'Buy-Now-Pay-Later Offer' is aimed to provide customers with easy financing options, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement. Under the partnership, the companies are also offering a two-month deferment of Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) to car customers who currently are under resource crunch amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, it added. Cyclone Amphan: Bangladesh estimates damage worth $130 mn, 20 dead

The severe cyclonic storm Amphan has claimed at least 20 lives in Bangladesh, reported Dhaka Tribune. The government estimated that the damage from the cyclone is worth Tk 1,100 crore (nearly $130 million). The outlet citing State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md Enamur Rahman reported that initial estimates by four ministries suggested that Cyclone Amphan had badly affected 26 districts, causing damage to the tune of Tk 1,100 crore. "According to a primary estimation, based on inputs from the ministries of local government, agriculture, fisheries and livestock, and water resources, the losses add up to Tk 1,100 crore," Rahman was quoted as saying. To ensure affordable air ticket fares for passengers and at the same time maintain financial viability for airlines in the times of the coronavirus pandemic , the government has capped air fares for three months. This is the first time since fares were deregulated in 1994 that a government has decided to interfere with pricing of air tickets. While announcing the resumption of air transport from March 25, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said there would be fare caps and floor prices based on flight duration. How are the flight fares going to be fixed? The flight routes have been divided into seven bands based on the flight duration. The first band, which would have its specific lower and upper limits of air fare, will consist of flights that are of less than 40 minutes. Second, third, fourth and fifth bands of upper limits would be of flights with durations of 40-60 minutes, 60-90 minutes, 90-120 minutes and 120-150 minutes, respectively. Read More

Covid-19 crisis: Indiabulls sacks over 2,000 employees to control expenses

Indiabulls Group has asked over 2,000, of its total of 26,000 employees, to leave as an outcome of performance review at the end of financial year 2019-20. Though the company said the attrition was in line with the process it follows every year (of 10-15 per cent attrition after performance reviews), its employees have a different story to tell. Scores of employees took to social media to express disappointment and said they were asked to resign over WhatsApp calls. Zydus supplies first batch of 30,000 Covid Kavach Elisa tests to ICMR

The first batch of 30,000 Covid Kavach Elisa tests manufactured by Zydus Diagnostics has been supplied to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) free of cost. These test kits have been manufactured in technology transfer with ICMR-National Institute of Virology (NIV) of Pune for surveillance purposes, said Zydus Diagnostics (a unit of Cadila Healthcare Ltd) in a statement on Thursday. Robust antibody tests are critical for surveillance and understanding the proportion of the population exposed to SARS Cov-2 infection. ICMR-NIV has successfully developed an indigenous IgG Elisa test for anti-body detection for Covid-19. Read More

As cyclone Amphan struck Odisha and West Bengal on Wednesday, Bollywood actors including Vicky Kaushal, Shabana Azmi and others prayed for people's safety and minimum destruction. Vicky on Thursday expressed his concern over the situation after seeing some "terrifying videos" of the deadly cyclone from Kolkata. "Praying for the safety and well being of everyone residing in the regions affected by the cyclone," the 32-year-old actor tweeted.
