Amazon takes OnePlus smart TVs 2020 pre-orders with extended warranty offer

OnePlus is set to launch its affordable smart TVs in India on July 2. Before the launch, however, the company has started taking pre-orders on its partner e-commerce platform Amazon. Amazon is taking pre-orders for OnePlus smart TVs (2020) by offering a two-year extended warranty from Acko general insurance worth Rs 3,000 at a discounted price of Rs 1,000, which would also be reversed to consumers Amazon Pay account later, essentially making the two-year insurance free to all those who pre-order and purchase the TV. Day after being declared Covid-19 positive, Mohammad Hafeez tests negative

Former Pakistan captain Mohammed Hafeez has tested negative for Covid-19 , a day after the PCB found him positive for the deadly virus. Hafeez and Wahab Riaz are among the 10 England-bound Pakistan players, who tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. The team is due to leave for England on Sunday for a Test and T20 series in August. On Wednesday, Hafeez took to twitter and clarified that he and his family members have tested negative and also posted the medical report to back his claim. Amazon may add live TV channels, broadcasts to Prime Video service: Report

Amazon is considering including television channels to its Prime Video service, according to a news report in technology portal Protocol. Some publicly available job listings from the technology giant also point to the same intention. The new channels in Prime Video may bring live news, music, sports, award shows and special events besides movies and TV shows. Amazon is "actively pursuing" deals to license live and linear programming, said the report, citing an unnamed industry insider. "Linear TV enables customers to watch 24/7 streams of their favourite TV stations airing programmes including sports, news, movies, award shows, special events and TV shows," said one of the job listings which is seeking application for a Principal Product Manager, Technical for Prime Video Linear TV. OnePlus goes back to making affordable smartphones, launch set for July

OnePlus is set to start making affordable smartphones once again. In recent years, the Chinese smartphone maker gradually shifted base to premium segment, leaving the midrange segment it once made mainstream in price conscious Indian smartphone market open for others. Now, the company is set to make cheaper OnePlus smartphones, which would launch in India and Europe in July. The upcoming phone will be a part of company’s new smartphone series, which will coexist with company’s premium smartphone line-up. The company has not officially named the series or the first product. It has neither revealed the exact India launch date plans. However, it has started a new Instagram account for the upcoming series with the name OnePlusLiteZThing, which hints at the possible naming nomenclature. CGBSE 12th Result 2020/ CGBSE 10th result 2020: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education has declared CGBSE 12th Result 2020 and CGBSE 10th result 2020. Candidates who appeared for the exam can visit official websites - cgbse.nic.in and results.cg.nic.in. to check their results. The Chhattisgarh Class 12 Board exams were scheduled in March, but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, some exams had to be postponed. Subsequently, the Board cancelled the remaining exams and announced that students will be marked for the pending examinations on the basis of internal assessment. A total of 6.29 lakh students appeared in class 10, 12 exams this year, around 384,000 candidates wrote class 10 exams, and another 266,000 sat for the plus-two exams. Delhi riots: ED raids premises of suspended AAP councillor, other locations

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted raids at multiple locations including at the premises of suspended AAP councillor Tahir Hussain in connection with its money laundering probe in the Delhi riots case, officials said. They said at least six premises in Delhi, Noida and few other locations in the national capital region are being searched. The raids are aimed at collecting evidence in the case, they said. The ED, in March, had booked suspended Aam Aadmi Party councillor Hussain, Islamist group PFI and some others on charges of money laundering and alleged funding of the recent riots in Delhi. Read More
