IMD alert: Rain, thunderstorm likely to hit Delhi, Uttar Pradesh today
Thunderstorm and rain accompanied with a dust storm are likely to occur
in several areas of western Uttar Pradesh on Monday, according to weather
department
Current Affairs News: Delhi woke up to a partly cloudy sky on Monday and is expected to
witness rains and thunderstorms later in the day.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy with the possibility
of rains or thundershowers along with strong gusty winds," a scientist at
India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
IMD has predicted similar weather conditions in parts of western Uttar Pradesh.
Thunderstorm and rain accompanied with a
dust storm are likely to occur in several areas of Western Uttar Pradesh on
Monday, IMD told news agencies.
The minimum temperature in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 28.2
degrees Celsius, the season's average. The maximum temperature is likely to
hover around 37 degrees Celsius.
Sunday's maximum temperature was 36.8 degrees Celsius, three
notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded
at 28.2 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
Delhi air quality
Air quality in Delhi did not see much improvement on Monday.
According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research
(SAFAR), the air-quality across National
Capital Region (NCR) was very poor on Monday morning.
