BMS to hold countrywide protests against labour law changes on May 20



The RSS-affiliated Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) announced nationwide protests on Thursday against various labour law changes made by various states, including withdrawal of labour laws in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

The state units of BMS will issue letters to district authorities on labour issues ahead of the nationwide protest day on May 20. Demonstrations in districts and industrial estates will observe social distancing norms. The main issues would be “freezing labour laws and increase in working hours in various states, on migrant workers issues, job losses, among others”. Read More
