Nothing ear (1) pre-orders start today at 12 pm on Flipkart: Price, offers

 

London-based technology start-up Nothing’s debut wireless earbuds ear (1) will be available for pre-orders in India from 12pm on August 17 through home-grown e-commerce platform Flipkart. Priced at Rs 5,999, the earbuds will be available for pre-orders with offers like instant discount of Rs 500 on ICICI credit card and free six month subscription of Gaana Plus music streaming service.

Unveiled in July, the Nothing ear (1) is one of the affordable wireless earbuds in the market with premium features like active noise cancellation and wireless charging support. Complementing the features is the ear (1) transparent design, which extends to both the earbuds and charging-cum-storage case. The transparent design shows the product internals, including microphones, magnets and circuit board. Nothing said, each earbud weighs in at 4.7g, and delivers pressure-relieving vents, an ergonomic fit, and three customisable liquid silicone tips.

As for the audio, the Nothing ear (1) packs a 11.6mm full-range speaker tuned by the audiophiles at Teenage Engineering for balanced bass, mid, and treble performance. Read More

Flag at half mast: India in 7-day state mourning for Pranab Mukherjee.

  National flags at Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament were at half-mast on Tuesday as the country observes a 7-day State mourning following the demise of former President Pranab Mukherjee . The state mourning is being observed throughout the country from August 31 to September 6 as a mark of respect to the former President, who passed away on Monday. "As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, seven days state mourning will be observed throughout India from August 31 to September 6, both days inclusive. During the period of state mourning, the national flag will fly at half-mast on all buildings throughout India, where it is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment," the Ministry of Home Affairs said in an official release. Mukherjee, 84, passed away on Monday at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) Hospital where he was admitted earlier this month and had undergone surgery for removal of a clot in his brain. Samsung to launch Galaxy M30 with three rear cameras, 5000mAh battery today

South Korean electronics major Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy M30 on February 27 at 6 PM. The India-first smartphone will be the third device in the M-series . The other two Galaxy M20 (review) and the Galaxy M10 (review) were launched in January 2019. Some of the key features include a triple rear camera module, Infinity-U shaped notch screen, 5,000mAh battery, and the Exynos 7904 processor, according to Samsung. The recent Instagram post by the company also confirms that the phone will come with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant. The post also confirmed that the phone will have a microSD card slot for storage expansion, supporting up to 512 storage chip. Though the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20 sport a TFT LCD screen, the Galaxy M30 would feature an AMOLED display of fullHD resolution with a 6.4-inch screen estate.
