Microsoft to add AI-powered text predictions in Word on Windows next month

  Honor is reportedly planning to launch a newly designed MagicBook laptop with narrower screen bezels. The newly designed MagicBook series may be powered by AMD's Raider 5000U series or Intel's 11th generation Core H35 processors, which are expected to be released in March.According to GzimoChina, the chin region of the display will carry the company's logo while the power button will be housed on the top right corner of the bottom half.As per the report, the laptop's camera will be shifted to the top center region of the keyboard. Recently, the company launched its new MagicBook 14 2021, MagicBook 15 2021 laptop series in China. Both the laptops feature new 11th-Gen Intel Core i processors and come with up to Nvidia GeForce MX450 discrete graphics. The company claims that the new MagicBook laptops come with 49 per cent performance boost compared to the older generation. It runs Microsoft's Windows 10 Home operating system. Read More

TCL launches new earphones and headphones in India starting at Rs 399

  TCL on Monday announced its expansion into the audio category segment with the launch of a range of audio products including wired and wireless earphones and headphones. The company launched wired in-ear headphones - SOCL100, SOCL200, SOCL300, ACTV100, premium wired over-the-ear Headphones - MTRO200, ELIT400NC and high-energy wireless neckband style in-ear headphones - SOCL200BT, ACTV100BT, ELIT200NC. According to the company, the entire range of products have a host of features at competitive prices across segments without compromising on their smart capabilities. "TCL products are known to be versatile when it comes to innovation and design. South Korea reports over 300 new Covid-19 cases for second consecutive day

  South Korea's daily new coronavirus cases stayed below 400 for the second straight day Tuesday on fewer tests over the weekend, but authorities are vigilant over the rising reproduction rate amid eased social distancing measures and an increase in the number of patients infected with Covid-19 variants. The country reported 357 more virus cases, including 330 local infections, raising the total caseload to 87,681, according to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA), Yonhap reported. On Monday, South Korea reported 332 cases, the lowest in a week. It marked a sharp decrease from more than 600 daily virus cases reported last week, before falling below 500 over the weekend. The country added 11 more deaths, raising the total to 1,573. The fatality rate came to 1.79 per cent. Huawei launches Mate X2 foldable phone with OLED display, Kirin 9000 SoC

  Chinese tech giant Huawei has launched Mate X2 , the companys latest foldable phone, as the successor to the Mate X that was launched in 2019. The base model is priced at 17,999 Yuan while the 512GB RAM version is 18,999 Yuan. It will go on sale in China on February 25 and will come with a Huawei SuperCharge charger, a Type-C data cable, a pair of Type-C earphones, and a leather protective case included inside the box, reports GizmoChina. The Mate X2 sports a vivid 8-inch internal display with a resolution of 2480 x 2200 whereas the display outside measures 6.45-inches with a 2700 x 1160 resolution. Both the OLED displays come with a 90Hz refresh rate and are slightly bigger than the displays on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.   Microsoft is bringing text predictions to its Word tool on Windows next month that would work like the 'Smart Compose' option in Google Docs . According to a report in Neowin, a recent entry to the Microsoft 365 roadmap revealed that text predictions will roll out to Microsoft Word users in March. The feature will help "users write more efficiently by predicting text quickly, timely and accurately." Microsoft has also begun rolling out identical text predictions in Outlook for Windows this month, allowing users to compose emails faster. "These Gmail-like text predictions also rolled out to Outlook on the web last year, alongside a feature to let people schedule when emails would be sent," reports The Verge. Samsung unveils new image sensor ISOCELL GN2 with upgraded autofocus

  Samsung Electronics on Tuesday introduced a new image sensor boasting an upgraded autofocus solution as the South Korean tech giant eyes to expand its presence in the mobile image sensor market. The ISOCELL GN2 is Samsung's first image sensor to use Dual Pixel Pro technology. Like its previous Dual Pixel solution, it adopts two photodiodes within every pixel, but the latest one splits the pixels not only vertically but also diagonally. "This diagonal cut allows the focusing agents to better recognise the top and bottom of the frame, allowing the sensor to get in focus quickly even when there are no pattern changes in a horizontal direction," Samsung said. "Low-light focusing and tracking of moving objects are improved as well, as every pixel of the sensor works as focusing agents." Apple TV app now globally available on latest Google Chromecast device

  Apple TV app is now globally available on the new Google Chromecast device. The new app will allow users to watch original Apple TV+ content, as well as access existing iTunes movie and television show purchases. As per Variety, starting Thursday, users with the USD 50 Chromecast with Google TV adapter will be able to access Apple TV.   In addition, the Apple TV app is available on smart TVs from Sony and TCL that have the Google TV interface and Google said that it will roll out to more Android TV-powered devices in the next few months.
