  German luxury car maker Audi on Tuesday launched the new version of its popular sedan A4 in India with prices starting at Rs 42.34 lakh (ex-showroom). The new fifth generation Audi A4 has a new design and is equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that generates 190 hp of power. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 7.3 seconds and can attain a top speed of 241 km/hr, the company said in a statement.   Commenting on the launch, Audi India head Balbir Singh Dhillon said, "we are extremely happy to start the year with the launch of the latest version of one of our bestsellers, the new Audi A4." In its fifth generation, the new Audi A4 is equipped with the latest technology and sets a benchmark with the features on offer, he said adding, "the mid-size luxury sedan segment is competitive and we are confident that the new Audi A4 will be a game-changer in the arena".   German luxury carmaker Audi on Thursday launched its latest SUV, Audi RS Q8 , in India with price starting at Rs 2.07 crore. The Audi RS Q8 is powered by a turbo 4-litre petrol engine delivering power of 600hp that can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph under four seconds. It combines the elegance of a premium coupe and the ability of an SUV, Audi India said in a statement. Commenting on the launch, Audi India head Balbir Singh Dhillon said, "it's an all-in-one model that is at home in the rough as it is on the racetrack... We are confident that the Audi RS Q8 will have a magnetic pull for luxury sports cars aficionados." The model has a mild-hybrid system (MHEV) with a 48-volt main on-board electrical system. The new variant is powered by a 2-litre petrol engine with a total output of 252 horse power and is mated with 7-speed transmission. It has a top speed of 237 km/hr and is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/hr in 6.3 seconds, Audi India said in a statement. Company plans to offer cars that can do 400 km on a single charge, as opposed to existing EVs that can run 150 km at most Company News : German luxury car maker   Audi   is getting ready to launch a luxury   electric vehicle   (EV) in the country in 2020. It is working on training of employees and dealers. The company said dealerships will need to have a charging station as well. It plans to sell   EVs   at select dealerships in few cities depending on the progress in charging infrastructure to begin with. “The government has clearly sent a message that EV is the future and not hybrids while introducing the   GST last year. For the past nine months, we have been working heavily on the infrastructure. We have set up a task force called Electrified India within the company to work on the EV launch in India,” Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi   India told   Business Standard. Ansari said EV is the future for   Audi   globally. “Globally, we are launching four   EVs   by 2020. By 2025
