  South Korean video game developer Krafton on Tuesday announced pre-registration for Battlegrounds Mobile India, a replacement for its now banned game PUBG Mobile . The pre-registration for the game is now live on Google’s Play Store in India for Android devices. Krafton to completely shut down PUBG Lite mobile game on April 29

  The low-end version of the battle royal game PUBG called Lite is officially closing down on April 29. PUBG Lite was introduced in 2019 for entry-level mobile devices. The Indian government banned both PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite on September 2 last year. The news of PUBG Lite's shut down was confirmed by the developers Krafton via a message on its official website. "We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG Lite fans that have been with us. TikTok, PUBG Mobile were most popular apps of 2019 in India: Report

With the penetration of mobile phones, the reliance on the device has increased many folds. Be it shopping, gaming or banking, there has been an immense growth in the hours people spend on their mobile phones. According to App Annie's latest report, TikTok and PUBG Mobile continued to dominate the mobile space in India. TikTok was the breakout social app of 2019 in the Indian market, while PUBG Mobile saw the highest consumer spend in games in the country. PUBG Mobile remained a distant third in breakout games of 2019 in terms of downloads as Carrom Pool clinched the top spot, followed by Free Fire. PUBG LITE moves into open beta period with new features like 4-vs-4 mode

PUBG Corporation on Thursday announced that PUBG LITE , the free-to-play, low-spec adaptation of PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, will be heading into Open Beta phase on August 8. During the initial eight month long Beta Test period, PUBG LITE expanded to over 80 countries. The start of the Open Beta period will mark the beginning of a new PUBG LITE season, which brings additional in-game content and the inaugural LITE PASS, which gives players the opportunity to complete in-game missions and unlock rewards as they level up the pass.
