Maruti launches special edition of Swift in festive season at Rs 519,000

  The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Monday said it has launched a special edition version of its hatchback Swift, priced Rs 24,999 more than the regular trims which are priced between Rs 5.19 lakh and Rs 8.02 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Swift Special Edition comes with a black theme which is accentuated with accessories like the glossy black body kit, spoiler, body side moulding, door visor and fog lamp, among others. Maruti Suzuki launches 'Buy-Now-Pay-Later Offer': All you need to know

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Friday announced a partnership with Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd to provide customised auto retail financing solutions to retail buyers. The new solution 'Buy-Now-Pay-Later Offer' is aimed to provide customers with easy financing options, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement. Under the partnership, the companies are also offering a two-month deferment of Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) to car customers who currently are under resource crunch amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, it added. Lockdown 4.0: Maruti Suzuki to restart operations at Gurugram plant today

Maruti Suzuki will restart operations at its Gurugram plant in Haryana on Monday after about 55 days of closure because of the coronavirus -led lockdown, the company informed the stock exchange. The company in a letter to BSE said it would “..restart production of vehicles at Gurugram plant on May 18. All activities will be carried out strictly in accordance with the government regulations and guidelines.” The Gurugram facility rolls out models such as the S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, Ignis and Super Carry light commercial vehicles. Maruti Suzuki board approves supply of SUV Vitara Brezza to Toyota

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Wednesday said its board has approved supply of a derivative of compact SUV Vitara Brezza to Toyota Kirloskar Motor which will then sell the vehicle under its own brand name. This will result in incremental sales for the company, MSI said in a regulatory filing. Toyota and Suzuki had executed a memorandum of understanding on February 6, 2017 to begin concrete examination towards realisation of business partnership in areas including environmental technologies, safety technologies, information technologies, and mutual supply of products and components. Maruti Suzuki launches new variant of Alto, priced at Rs 380,000

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Thursday announced the launch of a new variant of its entry-level small car Alto, priced at Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new variant comes with aero edge design, dual-tone interiors, high-fuel efficiency, and latest safety features. "Maruti Suzuki India Ltd today announced the launch of the new Alto VXI+ which offers SmartPlay Studio a 17.8 cm touchscreen infotainment system, enabled with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto," the country's largest car maker said in a filing to the BSE. The variant comes with BS-VI compliant engine and delivers a high fuel efficiency of 22.05 km/l, it added. Alto VXI+ will be available with enhanced safety features like dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system and seat belt reminder for both driver and co-driver, it said. Swift, Alto, six other Maruti models among top 10 best selling PVs in May

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India had eight of its models in SIAM's ten best-selling passenger vehicles list in May, even as the overall automobile market witnessed a sharp decline. The company's popular hatchback Swift was the best-selling model last month clocking 17,039 units, up from fourth spot in the same month last year when it sold 19,208 units, according to Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Coming in second was entry level model Alto with sale of 16,394 units as against 21,890 units in year-ago month, retaining the same spot. MSI's compact sedan Dzire sold 16,196 units last month, occupying third position, down from the top spot in the same month last year when it clocked 24,365 units. Premium hatchback Baleno sold 15,176 units to be at fourth position, down from third in May last year when it registered 19,398 units. Maruti Suzuki India Wednesday launched the 2019 edition of its hatchback Ignis with updated safety features priced between Rs 4.79-7.14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Ignis is now equipped with co-driver seat belt reminder and high speed alert system along with reverse parking assist system as standard features across all variants, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement. Under new safety regulations, these features will become mandatory for all passenger vehicles manufactured from July 1 this year. According to the latest data from Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Dzire occupied the top slot by selling 25,647 units in July as compared to 14,703 units in the same month a year ago, when it was the fifth best selling model.
