Coronavirus: Here's what TV actors are catching up on amid lockdown

Telly actors like Sharad Malhotra, Shubhangi Atre and Donal Bisht have been putting many hours into their shows and entertaining their viewers. Now that it's all about "stay home, stay safe" in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak , the actors are joining their fans in either watching their own shows or the evergreen ones like "Hum Log". To tackle the pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced a complete lockdown for 21 days beginning March 25. Some are doing the dishes, working out indoors or brushing up their culinary skills. Lockdown has also given a chance to small screen actors to catch up on their favourite shows. PM launches 'Fit India Movement,' says it will lead India to healthy future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ' Fit India Movement ' on Thursday, saying the initiative is the need of the hour and will take the country towards a healthier future. At a colourful ceremony, which included a presentation of India's indigenous martial art forms, dances and sports, Modi said technology has contributed to a sedentary lifestyle. "Fitness has always been an integral part of our culture. But there is indifference towards fitness issues now. A few decades back, a normal person would walk 8-10km in a day, do cycling or run," Modi said at the event. "But with technology, physical activity has reduced. We walk less now and the same technology tells us that we are not walking enough," he added. PM Modi to discuss wildlife issues in Discovery's 'Man vs Wild' episode

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will feature in a special episode of Discovery's " Man Vs Wild " which will highlight "issues related to environmental change." According to a statement from the channel, the special episode, featuring survivalist and adventurer Bear Grylls and shot in the India's Jim Corbett National Park, will be a "frank and freewheeling journey" which will throw light on wildlife conservation. The episode will premiere on August 12 and will be showcased in more than 180 countries across the world on Discovery network of channels. Kejriwal meets PM Modi, invites him to visit 'mohalla clinics' and schools

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him to visit ' mohalla clinics and schools ' in Delhi while asserting that his dispensation will examine whether the Centre's Ayushman Bharat programme can be integrated with the Delhi government's health scheme. Kejriwal, who had skipped the all-party meeting called by the Prime Minister two days back, also assured full cooperation of his government to the Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday slammed Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his "why are all Modis thieves" barb, adding using derogatory language has become synonymous with the " naamdar " (dynast). Addressing a rally here, Modi said it has become a fashion for the "naamdar" to speak in derogatory terms. "Is this the language to speak? We have to throw out such people. The mission was completed in 3 minutes.
