Realme has finally launched its first 5G ready smartphone ' X50 5G ' with a 120Hz refresh rate supporting display and the latest Snapdragon 765 processor, here. As for pricing, the smartphone comes in three variants, the base model comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is priced at CNY 2,499. The second variant comes with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, which is priced at CNY 2,699 and the highest variant has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,999, news portal GSMArena reported on Tuesday. In terms of specifications, the device features a 6.57-inch full-HD+ (100x2400 pixels) LCD hole-punch display with 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the 2.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256 internal storage. Oppo unveils Android 10-based ColorOS 7 with integrated localised features

Chinese handset maker Oppo's customised operating system (OS) ColorOS 7 , which is based on Android 10 and brings in localised features like DocVault -- the government-approved DigiLocker integration, was unveiled here on Tuesday. Oppo's new ColorOS 7 is faster and increases application response time by 30 per cent with multiple apps running in the background, according to the company. "We strive to make ColorOS broader yet more localised, creating a truly global system that users in different markets can experience and enjoy. This means we will continue to expand our localisation efforts to ensure that ColorOS is highly adapted to local user needs," Manoj Kumar, Senior Principal Engineer, Oppo ColorOS, said in a statement. Google rolls out ambient mode to make your phone useful while it charges

Google has rolled out a new Android feature that makes your smartphone useful even while it is charging. The new ' ambient mode ' lets you set an alarm, check for upcoming meetings, control smart lights, and even browse a photo slideshow in fewer taps and clicks, the company notes in an official tweet. Samsung India on Friday opened pre-booking for its newly-launched Galaxy 'S10' series smartphones that will start from Rs 55,900. The 1TB Galaxy S10+ smartphone will be available for Rs 1,17,900 while 512GB and 128 GB storage variants of S10+ will be priced at Rs 91,900 and Rs 73,900, respectively. Priced at Rs 84,900, the 512 GB variant of Galaxy S10 will be available in prism white colour, whereas the 128 GB variant will cost Rs 66,900 in prism black, prism white and prism blue colours. The cheapest of the lot, Galaxy S10e comes with 128 GB storage variant in prism black and prism white colours for Rs 55,900, the company announced. Chinese electronics major Xiaomi on Tuesday announced it has opened a record 500 retail stores in rural parts of India. Called Mi Stores and opened on October 29, these are similar to the bigger " Mi Home " stores currently operational in metro cities. "The company created a Guinness record for opening the maximum number of stores in one single day. Xiaomi plans to open 5,000 Mi Stores by the end of 2019 that will create nearly 15,000 jobs," Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi Global and Managing Director, Xiaomi India, told reporters here. "This new business will forever change rural retail in India," he added. Started with the online-only strategy, Xiaomi is fast expanding its presence in offline retail as well.
