The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reduced up to 30 per cent of the syllabus for the 2020-21 academic session for classes 9 to 12. The idea is to reduce the course load for studens in the wake of the global coronavirus crisis. According to the updated curriculum, the chapters deleted from the Class 10 syllabus are those dealing with democracy and diversity, gender, religion and caste, popular struggles and movement and challenges to democracy. For Class 11, the deleted portions include the chapters on federalism, citizenship, nationalism, secularism and growth of local governments in India. Similarly, Class 12 students will not be required to study the chapters on India's relations with its neighbours -- Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, the changing nature of India's economic development, social movements in India and demonetisation, among others. CBSE exam 2020 : CBSE has postponed Class 12 exam in northeast Delhi scheduled today while exams will be held in remaining areas as per schedule, Central Board of Examination said in a statement. The exams scheduled for February 27, 2020 are now postponed and the new dates will be notified shortly, CBSE said. "Considering request of Delhi government and to avoid inconvenience to students, staff and parents, the board has decided to postpone the exam for Class 12 in northeast part of Delhi," Central Board of Secondary Education Secretary Anurag Tripathi said. The exam has been postponed at 73 centres in northeast Delhi and seven centres in the eastern part. Taking note of the "worsening situation" in violence-hit areas, the Delhi High Court said it was doubtful that board exams could be held there and directed the CBSE to come up with a plan to reschedule them or change the affected centres. CBSE 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE sample question papers for board examinations for Class 10th and 12th to be held next year in 2020. Students appearing for CBSE 2020 examination can visit the CBSE official website cbse.nic.in to download the sample question papers of all subjects for CBSE board exam 2020. The CBSE board has also released the marking scheme for each subject. The CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 board examination 2020 sample papers were released on September 19, 2019. CBSE had already released the dates for board examinations for Class 10th and 12th to be held next year in 2020. The CBSE board has started preparations for 2020 CBSE board examinations and it is likely to conduct the practical examinations for Class 10 and 12 in December and the CBSE main exam from February 15, 2020.
