Apple iPhone 12 has 'secret' reverse wireless charging, says report

  The new iPhone 12 series may have a secret wireless feature to charge an external device like upcoming AirPods and the long-expected Tile-like item tracker AirTags, reports claimed on Thursday. Citing a series of US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings first spotted by VentureBeat, the report said that the iPhone 12 "supports a built-in inductive charging transmitter and receiver." Apple has not officially announced any such functionality yet. "In addition to being able to be charged by a desktop WPT [wireless power transfer] charger (puck), 2020 iPhone models … also support WPT charging function at 360 kHz to charge accessories," one of the documents read. OPPO details 125W flash charge, 65W AirVOOC wireless charge tech, and more

OPPO on Wednesday introduced the next iteration of its wired and wireless flash charge technology. The Chinese smartphone brand introduced a 125W wired and 65W wireless charge technology dubbed as 125W flash charge and 65W AirVOOC wireless charge , respectively. Besides, the company introduced a 50W mini SuperVOOC charger and a 110W mini flash charger. Unlike the previous iterations of company’s charge technology and chargers, the upcoming charging tech and chargers seem to have compatibility with devices other than OPPO smartphones. Chinese electronics maker OnePlus is set to launch the OnePlus 8-series smartphone on April 14 in a global online event, which would start at 8:30 PM in India. The event would livestream on company’s official web portal, social media channels and YouTube. OnePlus takes wrap off its first wireless charger before launch on April 14

Chinese electronics maker OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus 8-series smartphones on April 14. Apart from the smartphones, the company will also introduce a fast-wireless charging cradle, confirming that the upcoming phones will be the first in OnePlus history to support wireless charging. The company's founder and CEO Pete Lau on Tuesday posted a tweet with a link to the blog post that covers in detail the wireless charging cradle. Named the Warp Charge 30 Wireless, it is a standee-based wireless charger that is touted to support 30W fast charging, which is equivalent to existing wire-based charging solution that comes with OnePlus smartphone. The Warp Charge 30 Wireless has a peak output of up to 30W, which ensures that your device battery charge goes from one per cent to 50 per cent in half an hour, said the company in a blog post. Huawei to launch wireless charging in India with its Mate 20 Pro next month

Chinese tech giant Huawei Consumer Business Group on Tuesday announced it was ready to bring its wireless charging capabilities with the launch of premium Mate 20 Pro smartphone in India next month. The wireless charger is developed on the Qi standard for universal compatibility, thus, allowing it to identify smartphones, earbuds and other devices and adjust output power automatically to charge them safely. With a 10-minute 15W wireless charging session, the wireless charger tops up the battery 12 per cent, while a 30-minute charge gives the battery 31 per cent juice, the company said in a statement. "With the launch of the flagship Mate 20 Pro slated next month, wireless reverse charging is also a feature that the device is capable of, thus, enabling users to take maximum advantage of the large battery inside the device to charge other Qi-enabled devices," the company added.
