Second Covid-19 wave: Rajasthan orders 6 pm to 6 am curfew starting Friday

  Amid a surge in coronavirus infection cases , the Rajasthan government on Wednesday decided to impose a night-long curfew from 6 pm to 5 am in the entire state from April 16. The night curfew was declared earlier in 10 urban areas of the state but with the spread of infection showing no sign of abating, the state government decided to enforce the regulatory measure in the entire state. The order imposing the night curfew in the entire state was issued on late Wednesday evening. Night curfew will be there from 6 in the evening till 5 in the morning and markets will be closed by 5 pm, the government order said. According to the new guideline, all educational and coaching institutes and libraries too will remain closed from April 16 to 30.   Rajasthan government has made the RT-PCR test mandatory for people entering the state and those travelling outside. According to the Rajasthan government, amid a surge in COVID cases , RT-PCR test mandatory for people entering the state and those travelling outside. Classes 1 to 9 will remain suspended. District Magistrates can impose night curfews but they will be required to seek the government's permission for curfew before 8 pm and after 6 am, as per the state government. It further stated, Excluding the takeaway and delivery services, restaurants should abide by the night curfew. Bird flu: Centre asks all states to be prepared for any eventuality

  The Centre on Thursday said bird flu has been confirmed only in Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh so far, but all states should be prepared for any eventuality. States have been told to ensure sufficient stock of PPE kits and accessories required for culling operations. They have also been asked to create awareness among public that it is safe to consume poultry products after following boiling/cooking procedures. The Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying held a meeting with the states to understand the status of the outbreak of avian influenza (bird flu) and to suggest measures for control, containment and prevention of spread of the disease, an official statement said. An unusual mortality of poultry, crows, migratory birds has been reported from Kerala, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. Unlock-4: Schools, coaching classes to remain shut till Sep 30 in Rajasthan

  Schools, colleges and coaching classes will remain closed for students and regular teaching activities till September 30, according to ' Unlock-4 ' guidelines issued by the Rajasthan government for activities outside COVID-19 containment zones. Fifty per cent of teaching and non-teaching staff can be called to school for online teaching and related works from September 21 and for this, guidelines will be issued by the Union health ministry, the guidelines said. Students from Class 9 to 12 have been permitted to visit schools in areas outside containment zones for taking guidance from teachers after September 21, the state government guidelines stated. However, no relaxation will be given in containment zones, they said. Under 'Unlock-4', cinema halls, entertainment parks and swimming pools will remain closed. Open air theatres will be allowed to open from September 21, the guidelines said. Read More

Covid-19: Rajasthan seals borders, check posts to be set up at rly stations

The Rajasthan government sealed all state borders on Wednesday amid a surge in Covid-19 cases . All movement to and from the state will be regulated. No person can enter Rajasthan without a 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from the state or leave without a pass, Director General Of Police, Law and Order, M L Lather said in an order. Directions were issued to all range IGs, SPs, commissioners and deputy commissioners in this regard, officials said. They were asked to put up check posts along state borders with immediate effect and the arrangements would be in place for the next seven days. Read More

A man was found half ablaze in Anganwa village in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city. General News : A man was found half ablaze in Anganwa village in Rajasthan's Jodhpur city. After getting information from the villagers on Monday morning, Jodhpur police reached the spot, doused the flames and sent the injured to Mahatma Gandhi hospital. However, after reaching the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The body has been sent for autopsy. A preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased, identified as Tarun, was attacked brutally before setting ablaze. According to Mandor Police Officer Pradeep Kumar, "A motorcycle has been recovered from the crime scene. Police are investigating the matter." No arrest has been made so far.
