Hyundai launches legendary Santro after 5 years; to compete with Wagon R


Hyundai has finally relaunched the legendary Santro, its compact family car, which was discontinued in 2014 after sixteen years of successful run. The Korean car maker has invested about Rs 7.4 billion over the last three years to develop the car that has already received over 23,500 units of advanced bookings in just thirteen days.

“The Santro is an iconic and legendary brand that has won the hearts of millions of Indian customers for last two decades. The magic of Santro continues with this all new car which has received an overwhelming response in less than two weeks, “ said Y K Koo, managing director and chief executive officer at Hyundai Motor India.

The new Santro which is built on the tall-boy design, offers a decent cabin space with good headroom and good-to-go boot space. The car also comes with a well-designed dashboard and the the top variant features a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The regular features like USB, Aux and Bluetooth comes with inbuilt support of smart features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link.
